 EXT.  CHICAGO POLICE STATION -   DAY                                           
Jane, 27, whose name is also Ngozi in her Nigeria native languge walks out of the station and flags down a cab.

A yellow cab pulls over to pick her up.
                                                     JANE
                                                (breathing heavy)
                                  7200 N. Sheridan please.
                  
                                                 CAB DRIVER
                                  Pardon?

                                                 JANE
                                         (yelling)
                               7200 N. Sheridan Road.
She opens the door to the back seat and stepped inside, and sat down.
The driver turns half in his seat to face Jane.
                                             
                                                CAB DRIVER
                                     Sure  thing.

Jane opens her purse and brought out a mirror and a napkin to fix herself up.

The driver adjusts his mirror to center it on  Jane.

                                             CAB DRIVER  (CONT'D)
                                   So are you from around here?

                                             JANE
                                    No. I am not.

                                              CAB DRIVER
                                   (to the rearview mirror)
                              I just noticed your accent and I was interested, so I thought I would ask.

                                              JANE
                              Yeah well I am not. I'm from Nigeria originally.

            Jane is occupied by her mirror and make-up.

                                           CAB DRIVER
                             Nigeria aye? I too was born in Nigeria, but my family moved here when I was   
                             young and now I 've spent most of my days here in Chicago. I love this city. The love
                             here, you just have to look a little harder than most people.

Jane reaches into her purse the second time to remove her sunglassess.
She puts it on and looks back to her handheld mirror.
